To make the new X-22 Tour Irons play even better and feel even softer than their predecessors, Callaway Golf engineers went about redesigning specific features to get the results they wanted. The most obvious visual difference is the addition of the new Notch Weighting, which raises the MOI for better stability. A new sleeker hosel was also incorporated. The combination of these two features allowed the CG to be moved lower and more in line with the center of the face, generating unique playing characteristics that enhanced trajectory and distance control with a much higher level of feel. The head shape has been refined with the thinnest possible topline while still using a 360-Degree Undercut Channel, and the optimized sole width progression provides better turf interaction.
